On the whole, I would chalk that up to them just being a software development company that's based in Seattle. well, about the only way I can describe her(?) is "hideous tranny." I'm pretty sure Behemoth's character portrait is modeled after Kiva, except +a few beers and -a few dozen pounds. I haven't done any cyberstalking to confirm it, but when I've seen HBS Kiva on streams (one of the game designers). When they character creation stuff (including the pronoun BS) was shown in streams earlier this month, I was not impressed. One of the employees they had on was their Diversity Advisor. They had a RPG/tabletop battletech show on Youtube called Death From Above, where they had employees playing a tabletop campaign using XL 3d printed mechs. I started having some concerns a couple years ago, before Paradox got involved. View QuoteI wouldn't necessarily blame Paradox for the pronoun bullshit. Please remember to be polite and follow the Rules and Guidelines.Īnd it won't move off of 334 reviews now at all.
Please describe what you liked or disliked about this game and whether you recommend it to others. If you try to leave a review, you get the error that says: For some reason Steam reviews were at around 150 at 'Mostly Positive' to 334 at 'Mixed' within 30 minutes and are now stuck at 334. Decided to take a look at who was locking all the negative threads, and their forum moderator is a dev from Stockholm that looks like the poster child for every hipster pronoun apology cuck in existence I think I found why there are pronouns.ĮTA2 - Forums are starting to fill up with a mix of people losing saved games, having a ton of crashes, other technical problems and getting concerned about bad reviews. I just now got into I'm guessing the actual campaign, but this is my impression from the starter story line action so far I'm at meh.ĮTA - Was just banned from the Battletech Steam Forums for 'Violation of Forum Guidelines' for posting a thread asking questions about the games clunkyness and what the deal with the pronouns was. It's pretty much right now a crap shoot of figuring out when your turn, your enemy's turn and any of your other friendlies' mechs turns are. Other than that, I can't figure out like in most turn based games, what the order of battle is. it's like a boxing game where the 2 lamest animations are the 1 generic jab you use over and over and the fact there's next to nothing that happens on the guys face when you punch him. Kind of a letdown with a game about giant robots shooting at each other, the graphics/effects/animation of the shooting and the target taking damage are basically pew pew laser pew and then a few generic small explosions on the target which are basically the exact same for every weapon, every time. My only complaints so far are that the action animations/graphics of you running/moving look clunky as hell and the animations from you shooting/damaging anything are basically nothing. I'm hoping that once things open up and you're not on rails just pushing buttons, this changes and evolves. I have to say so far my impressions of the actual game mechanics/raw game play are pretty meh. I got to the end of the initial 'starting story' which is part tutorial, part storyline and then the beginning of the 'new' story. Of all the things a computer game needed - fucking pronoun? Fuck off.
Yeah, what in the fuck is with this pronoun shit at character creation? Are you fucking kidding me? It almost made me uninstall/refund it.
